Dr Judith Beyer is a fashion scholar, educator and writer on fashion, media and the intricacies of identity. She has published on the intersection of fashion, culture, and identity, particularly gender fluidity and masculinities in contemporary fashion design. Her current projects focus on antigender fashion design and lesbian subjectivity and style in cinema.


Currently, she teaches fashion theory and aesthetics at AMD Akademie Mode und Design, Düsseldorf. Judith has previously taught in Popular Media Culture, Communication Studies, and Fashion in Society at Te Herenga Waka | Victoria University of Wellington, and Philosophical Perspectives on Creative Practices at Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa | Massey University New Zealand.
